Creative Direction & Brand Design

Auth0 is a platform that verifies user identities before granting access to websites and applications. It provides a secure and user-friendly way to allow genuine users in while keeping malicious parties out. Auth0 simplifies the process for developers by providing features like single sign-on and user management.


I worked closely with Auth0's CEO (Matias Woloski) and Head of Design (Ricky Rauch) to craft the brand identity. The goal was to convey Auth0's commitment to security and excellence. At the heart lies the logo symbol, which is a harmonious fusion of a protective shield and a star. The shield embodies security, emphasizing Auth0’s commitment to safeguarding user data and privacy, and the star signifies excellence and reliability.

The logo proved to be versatile, working at both incredibly small and giant sizes. The team recreated the logo symbol in a variety of creative ways. They baked a pie in the shape of logo, created latte art in the shape of the logo, and even gathered the entire company to recreate the logo for a drone shot.

Okta acquired Auth0 in 2021 for $6.5 billion. The acquisition enabled Okta to expand coverage in the identity space, covering both workforce and customer use cases. Okta integrated Auth0’s cloud identity solutions in order to provide speed, simplicity, security, reliability, and scalability. Auth0 operates as an independent unit inside Okta, maintaining a level of autonomy.
